Smartworks, an Indian enterprise-focused workspace platform, is in advanced talks to raise funding from Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA), multiple sources familiar with the matter told DealStreetAsia.
Negotiations have gained steam as Smartworks is looking to expand its presence in both tier I and tier II Indian cities to cater to the sudden spurt in demand for flexible office spaces witnessed since mid-2022 when employees started returning to physical offices after working remotely for two years.
